These tractors are on display on the main floor of the TOYS barn. This lower level of the museum is maintained year round and includes an Old Time Kitchen, Laundry and Parlor area. The upper floor of the barn houses many farm and rural implements.

Neil Brewer operated this mobile setup outside of the TOYS Barn at the Central NY Living History Center’s June 11, 2011 Open House. It has an old hit and miss engine that runs a washing machine, corn sheller, butter churn, grind stone, and various other small powered implements found in old time rural settings.

Cheryl and Jim Price made and donated a new sign to mark the entryway to the "Kitchen, Laundry and Parlor Area” of the TOYS barn.

Clothes washing equipment and methods, covering the scrub board era to the electric washing machine of the early 1900's, are on display in the “Kitchen, Laundry and Parlor” area of the TOYS barn.

This 1937 O12 orchard tractor was donated by David Parke of Cortland, NY. Only about 2,900 of these tractors were ever built and very few were found in the Central New York area. They were built very low and narrow so they could be used close to and under fruit trees in the orchards. This tractor is in original condition and has never been overhauled or repainted. It’s had very little use. Replacement tires are featured in this photo, but the TOYS museum has the original tires.

Who is this young lady on a green tractor? Looks like Sue Hulse (the Red Paint enthusiast) taking a few warm up laps on DAVE KAPPLER’S John Deere 50 (that never gets in the newsletter), in preparation to do a little pulling. (Photo by Roger Karn)

This is DAVE KAPPLER, at the Final Fling October 13th, on HIS John Deere 50 that he has pulled for YEARS and NEVER got his picture in the newsletter. How’s that Dave?—Roger (Photo by Roger Karn)
